Brief Introduction

Yixiao Luo is an associate professor at the school of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.  He received his B.Eng. degree from Wuhan University, Wuhan, China, in 2013, M.Eng. degree from Hanyang University, South Korea, in 2015 and the Ph.D degree from City University of Hong Kong in 2019, all in electrical engineering. He is awarded “East Lake Scholar” by Huawei in 2022. His research interests include permanent magnet motor drives, power electronics, renewable energy sources and microgrids. At present, he has published more than 10 top-tier IEEE Transactions papers as first/corresponding author, and he has been cited more than 400 times. He has been funded more than 1.5 million Yuan in the past two years from the government.
